Welcome to SeeYouThen!

The SeeYouThen Story: From Founder and CEO, Andy Drake

We founded the company with one mission and that is to help the bride and groom to capture and collect every digital photo that is taken at their wedding events.  The time flies by and it is the most important aspect of a wedding.  Capture every moment and collect every digital image taken.

I attended a wedding in 2004 and the bride and groom had provided these disposable wedding cameras for everyone to use.  (Which by the way people still do quite frequently).  I thought, this photoexchange idea has a lot of relevance for weddings. Digital cameras were still kind of a gadget at that point and the professional photographer was taking the majority of pictures that he was most likely going to hold captive until he created proofs and edited them, etc.  These cameras were provided so that I, the guest could take pictures for the bride and groom.  The couple had spent somewhere around 3-5 dollars per camera and they were all over the place.  So, being a guy that loves to take photos helped them and filled up one of the cameras. (I never saw those photos.  I suppose that the bride and groom still have them.  I assume that they still to this day wonder who took those fabulous pictures of the most memorable moments of their big day and wish they could thank me for helping them capture one of the biggest moments of their adult lives.Embarassed

The rest of the guests I'm sure, filled the camera full so they received another 100 low quality, half without flash, photos that they spent $5.00 to develop so they were spending $5x10 tables x 5 development = $250 for low quality 4x6 prints of the table linens.

granny1.jpgOn to the future, The digital boom happens. So, digital cameras moved from being a digital gadget to everyone now carries them on them at all times.  Whether they are in your briefcase or on your phone, everyone has access to their cameras.

Later I attended a wedding and started to notice that everywhere I looked there were digital cameras firing and the poor wedding photographer was practically competing with the "wedding paparazzi".  I thought where and how are the bride going to collect all these great digital photos?  Of course I was firing away as well.   I was also a little concerned because I knew that most people don't have a clue how to burn a CD or attach a photo to an email.  Or worse, the bride and groom were going to their jobs on that monday after their honeymoon and their IT guy is sitting at their cubicle tapping his foot wanting to know why This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   (Aunt Betty) has sent multiple 30MB Emails to you and had crashed the email server.  "Wanna get away?"  Or even worse that these photos would be sent to online photo print services that hold them captive and make you make prints or gifts and you'll never have or can't download the original high-res photos to take wherever you please.  So how do you let everyone know where everyone has put and sent these photos if they sent them to you at all?

tonight_lg.jpgSo I put pencil to paper to see if we could build an affordable and easy to use service that a bride and groom could easily create a central collection point for all these wonderful photos. A photoexchange for all the 100's of high-res photos that their friends, family and guests could collect and exchange. So SeeYouThen Wedding Photos Website was born!

I want you to love our service so much that you'll tell everyone about it.  We truly want you to use it to its full poential.  Please ask us for help.  We are looking for solid feedback from you on how the service can be enhanced and how we can help you collect 100's of photos from your wedding events.  We want to help and we want you to be successful.

For those 100's of brides that have done this, we thank you for making us a part of your big day.

Thank you for the fabulous feedback and suggestions. We are proud to say that our couples are averaging about 700 photos from 20 guests participating.  I hope you blow that out of the water.

Good Luck and welcome to SeeYouThen.
